Uranus: Elysium Fork Kodi Add-on

Uranus by Griffin_303 is another Elysium Fork; however, Griffin has added some extras to it and is maintaining it.  Elysium was a very popular add-on after taking over for Zen from Schism.  We have seen this add-on grow as more and more developers are throwing into the mix.  What I like about Uranus is the fact that Griffin is always doing what he can to pump up and maintain his add-ons.  This is important because it means there is a better chance this add-on will stick around.  If you are unaware of Elysium it is a multi-scraper add-on that has been forked by several developers including Blamo with Neptune Rising.

Uranus: Current Version of this add-on is 2018-02-22

This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help, go to ares-project.uk for further support.

Uranus Installation to Kodi Krypton (17)

If you have a clean 17 install, you will have to enable unknown sources first.

NOTE: We have added a new link for Krypton installs due to some weird Kodi bug not showing the repo zip properly.

  • Click Settings (cog)

  • Click System Settings

  • Click Add-ons

  • Toggle Unknown Sources

  • A warning pop-up will appear

“Add-ons will be given access to personal data stored on this device. By allowing, you agree that you are solely responsible for any loss of data, unwanted behaviour, or damage to your device. Proceed?”

This is your choice, if you wish to install 3rd Party add-ons you must agree. We strongly advise against installing headline grabbing “the best add-on ever…” etc and use only official developers with a proven track record.

  • Click Settings (cog)

  • Click File Manager

  • Double Click Add Source

  • Click “None” text window

  • Type EXACTLY http://repo.mrblamo.xyz

I am a big fan of Griffin’s work as you may have noticed from some of the articles I have written; however, there is a reason.  Griffin has really stepped up to help the community  and built some very nice add-ons.  We have seen forks come and go int he community and I am confident that this fork, Uranus, is here to stay.  Check out all of our articles and Griffin’s other add-ons at Best Kodi Guides.

By the end of this article we will have answered the what, where, and how to install Kodi, along with a repository, and an add-on. More and more developers and groups have been shut down, received cease & desist letters, or have grown frustrated by treatment from other community members.  This has made it tougher to find the reliable all-in-one build as your go-to builder could hang it all up.  So our goal is for this guide to help you sit in the driver seat. Deleting Old non-working URL's from File Manager

Deleting URL’s from File Manager We have all used the File Manager in Kodi to install different URL’s for various links to Repositories or Add-ons.  Links become redundant for a number or reasons; however, the most common reason is abandonment by the developer.  A perfect example is the TVA Fusion link, it became invalid and the link will no longer connect. Why remove the url links ? Keeping these URL links installed in File Manager is harmless, but keeping the file manager uncluttered is never a bad habit.  Some of you may have typed the wrong url address by mistake.  Instead of removing it right away, you just re-type the correct url address.  I know how easy that is having done that myself on occasion.  As a result, you have many duplicate sources in your File Manager section. The removal method is exactly the same for Jarvis & Krypton.  Yet, I have combined photo examples for both just so you can follow along.  While I was look...

How to Install/Use the Alluc.ee Addon in Kodi Krypton

What is the Alluc.ee Addon ? What is the Alluc.ee Addon ? Before we proceed, here’s a brief description of Alluc.ee and where and how you can take advantage of what it has to offer: “Alluc.ee (pronounced: “all-you-see”) is a user-generated link-sharing-website that catalogs links to TV shows, movies, music videos, sport, anime and cartoons. Alluc does not host any content itself. Alluc.ee also does not contain any download links, all are links to streaming video sharing websites. Users provide the links in the right category and they are released to the site after having been checked by the administrators. Video hosting sites that are linked to Alluc include YouTube, Dailymotion, and Veoh, among others.” (quoted from Wiki-Alluc.ee) How to Install Alluc.ee Addon Before we begin you will need an Account from  http://accounts.alluc.com  . While free to join, this step must be done prior to continuing due to the information needed during the installat...

How to Stream Zgemma to Kodi

If you have one of zgemma or Vu (enigma based) device you may not be aware that you can access and control your device from Kodi. This is pretty simple and quick to setup and will open up a whole bunch of options for you eg. watch your recordings on any device with Kodi (on the same network), set recordings on your receiver from any device running Kodi on your home network ( this can also be dome remotely and I will cover this in another blog), check on what recordings are set and even delete them if needed. There is a bit of jumping around in this tutorial as I have to cover a few different scenarios, I hope this doesn’t make it confusing, but feel free to leave comments. I will have a section created on Ares Forum for more support if its needed. Setup Process Set Fixed IP on zGemma Check OpenWebIf is installed and set correctly. Make a Custom Favourites List (optional) Add PVR to Kodi Configure PVR Receiver Setup The first step is to give the receiver device a fixed IP address, ...
