Uranus by Griffin_303 is another Elysium Fork; however, Griffin has added some extras to it and is maintaining it. Elysium was a very popular add-on after taking over for Zen from Schism. We have seen this add-on grow as more and more developers are throwing into the mix. What I like about Uranus is the fact that Griffin is always doing what he can to pump up and maintain his add-ons. This is important because it means there is a better chance this add-on will stick around. If you are unaware of Elysium it is a multi-scraper add-on that has been forked by several developers including Blamo with Neptune Rising.
Uranus: Current Version of this add-on is 2018-02-22
This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help, go to ares-project.uk for further support.
You can unblock many “dns censored” sources with a smartdns solution
If you use p2p add ons, torrents, or in countries that prohibit streaming use a vpn from a reputable provider like Private Internet Access.

Uranus Installation to Kodi Krypton (17)
If you have a clean 17 install, you will have to enable unknown sources first.
NOTE: We have added a new link for Krypton installs due to some weird Kodi bug not showing the repo zip properly.
- Click Settings (cog)
- Click System Settings
- Click Add-ons
- Toggle Unknown Sources
- A warning pop-up will appear
“Add-ons will be given access to personal data stored on this device. By allowing, you agree that you are solely responsible for any loss of data, unwanted behaviour, or damage to your device. Proceed?”
This is your choice, if you wish to install 3rd Party add-ons you must agree. We strongly advise against installing headline grabbing “the best add-on ever…” etc and use only official developers with a proven track record.

I am a big fan of Griffin’s work as you may have noticed from some of the articles I have written; however, there is a reason. Griffin has really stepped up to help the community and built some very nice add-ons. We have seen forks come and go int he community and I am confident that this fork, Uranus, is here to stay. Check out all of our articles and Griffin’s other add-ons at Best Kodi Guides.
