Using TMDb and Alluc API Codes in Kodi Add-ons

Using TMDb / Alluc Codes Together

Before explaining how to link your TMDb api code with Alluc code, why does anyone need the code ?

When the Add-on Elysium became the “go to” add-on as an alternative to Covenant, the Devs added the api Code. Consequently TMDb began cancelling each new api code generated by the Developers as it was viewed as “abuse of the code”.  As a result the Developers spent more time generating a new code instead of improving the add-on itself. The Solution was to allow each user to generate their own personal IMDb Api code and enter it themselves.

Generating your own TMDb Code

While other groups were providing a solution, Ares Project Forum had taken it a step further by providing a Blog that gave a more detailed method that others had missed. In addition to generating a TMDb code, you will also need a Alluc code. This can be found by following this link.

Add-ons Currently Utilizing both Codes

The above list will be updated as each new Add-on allows the use of either/both Codes.

IN CONCLUSION

In conclusion, more Add-ons will be using the API Code/Key in the near future, knowing how to accomplish this now will make it much easier for you when these do happen. Due to different scrapers used in each Add-ons, your results may vary. All testing and research was conducted on a PC with both Krypton 17.4 and Jarvis 16.1.

In addition, testing was also done on a Nvidea Shield using a SPMC 17.4 Fork, Krypton 17.5.1 and NODI Krypton fork. These produced positive results as well. Finally, this article is meant to be used as a guide. Your results will produce different results, ensuring your add-ons are up to date will help. WiFi Settings & Tweaks for Kodi

I thought I’d cover the one of the most talked about issues in the world of streaming and thats WiFi and how to get the best out of it, practical measures and not some of the voodoo you read on some forums! What is WIFi? The term Wi-Fi refers specifically to the IEEE 802.11 set of standards for wireless networks. Several different standards are designated by a letter suffix on the 802.11, such as in 802.11g or 802.11n. In general all of the 802.11 standards operate on either a 2.4GHz or 5GHz radio frequency. 5GHz has much greater speed capability but a reduced range; generally speaking the lower a frequency the further it will travel, so don’t expect miracles if you switch to 5GHz. A key thing to note here is that if ANY device uses the older “b” standard then ALL devices *could* have their speed reduced to 11mbps on “g” networks, depending on your router. This really applies to older equipment or cheap equipment with old parts used in it *cough* t...

How to Install Every Repo

The key thing to adding content to Kodi is via repositories – a “repo” is the “central storage point” for an authors add ons. Add-ons provide you with content, so you will see someone reference say Genesis and Lambda – Lambda is the author and has his repository, and Genesis is the add on held in that repo for you to install. A repo can have multiple add ons. These add ons are grouped as Program, Video, etc. I hope that’s simple enough – that’s my fifth version, if you have a simpler way to explain, please comment below and I’ll add it in! Repository Addresses Every repo has a url, an address (or source) you need to add into Kodi’s File Manager in order to install the repo into your Kodi locally. I have created a list of the most popular (I hope!) although this isn’t meant to be every repo every created. I am providing a list here of the repo’s rather than write 150 articles for each individual. This will also...

What is the Alluc.ee Addon ? What is the Alluc.ee Addon ? Before we proceed, here’s a brief description of Alluc.ee and where and how you can take advantage of what it has to offer: “Alluc.ee (pronounced: “all-you-see”) is a user-generated link-sharing-website that catalogs links to TV shows, movies, music videos, sport, anime and cartoons. Changing the Movie Icon Size in Krypton/Jarvis

What is a Movie Icon ? Movie Icon is a general term used to describe the Fan-art of a Movie/TV Show in a Video Add-on. Such as Placenta, Elysium or Death Streams to name a few. Many also call it Thumbnails because it is a small version of a Poster of a Movie/TV Show. All Devs utilize these Icons to give those using their Add-ons a visual aid of what each Movie/TV Show appears as. So you sit down with the Family to watch a movie. But wouldn’t it be nice to just see what movies there are in a larger Icon like you seen in a Poster. Especially for the little ones who can’t read but certainly recognize a Favorite Character of theirs. To be honest even some the “Older Kids” eyesight could use a break from squinting I’m sure, present company included. Here are a few easy steps that will allow you to view a Icon or enable Thumbnail view. For this article a “clean” version of Krypton 17.3 was used with the Estuary Skin. Jarvis 16.1 version was used with the Pulse Build and Xonfluen...
