Final Gear: A Kodi Add-on for Car Lovers

Final Gear is a Kodi Add-on for any Car Enthusiast as it has everything you could be looking to view.  This add-on is jam packed with content from Car Shows to Documentaries, Tv Shows and YouTube clips.  Griffin_303 did a wonderful job putting together this add-on and I know the Gear Heads will be loving it.  With dedicated section to Clarkson Collection, Car-Movies, Car-Tv Shows you will be entertained for hours, days, weeks.  This add-on will compliment Motor Replays for the car fan as you’ll be able to view everything you could ever want.  Let’s take a look at how to install this add-on and then it’s on and we can play around!

Final Gear: Current Version of this add-on is 1.67


This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help, go to ares-project.uk for further support.

Final Gear Installation to Kodi Jarvis (16)


  • Click SYSTEM > File Manager

  • Double Click Add Source

  • Click “None” text window

  • Type EXACTLY https://repo.mrblamo.xyz

  • Click the box underneath “Enter a name for this media source“

  • Type Blamo (or a name you will remember!)

  • Click OK

  • Back out or hit the “Home icon” to go back to your Home Screen

  • Click SYSTEM

  • Click Add-Ons

  • Click Install from zip file

  • Click  Blamo (or whatever you called it)

  • Click repository.griffin-(x.x).zip

  • Now wait for “Add-on enabled” message

  • Click Install from repository

  • Click Griffin Repo

  • Click Video add-ons

  • Click Final Gear

  • Click Install

  • Now wait for ” Add-on enabled” message

If you have a clean 17 install, you will have to enable unknown sources first.


NOTE: We have added a new link for Krypton installs due to some weird Kodi bug not showing the repo zip properly.



  • Click Settings (cog)

  • Click System Settings

  • Click Add-ons

  • Toggle Unknown Sources

  • A warning pop-up will appear

“Add-ons will be given access to personal data stored on this device. By allowing, you agree that you are solely responsible for any loss of data, unwanted behaviour, or damage to your device. Proceed?”


This is your choice, if you wish to install 3rd Party add-ons you must agree. We strongly advise against installing headline grabbing “the best add-on ever…” etc and use only official developers with a proven track record.



  • Click Settings (cog)

  • Click File Manager

  • Double Click Add Source

What is Inputstream Adaptive The recent update release from Kodi on the Krypton 17.3 has failed to enable a feature called InputStream Adaptive. So what you say ! What does it do ? How do I use it ? Well here’s a quick explanation of what InputStream Adaptive does : This package is required to allow add-ons like the Youtube to work properly in Krypton 17 . Therefore allowing the add-on to support 1080p resolutions and up and solve some issues with mpeg-dash videos. Project Cypher

This is an add on thats been around for a while, with a mix of content, mostly that I haven’t used to be honest, but its recently started to produce some good live streams with I think makes it worthy of recommending. I worked through some of the content this morning and there is a mix of stuff, but of real interest to me personally is the quality of the live links. Making Adjustments While Watching Movies in Kodi: Aeon Nox Silvo Skin

Adjusting options to screening is quite easy to do inside the Aeon Nox Silvo Skin and some are unaware of all the items you can change.  Many of you have asked questions on where to make Screen Adjustments re: Calibration, as well as how to Add or Remove Subtitles (myself included).  So here we go, the above Photo and the next used for this FAQ were taken from the Ares US Build Jarvis Version.  The movies selected was “Jackie” from the Elysium Add-on with a Real Debrid Account. Adjusting/Removing English Subtitles You begin watching a Movie and then English subtitles appear at the bottom, yet the the movie is in English!
