Installing PinSentry Kodi Add-on

PinSentry is an add-on for Kodi that allows you to lock specific add-ons, movies, tv shows, and more for specific time frames or always.  You can have a pin that expires after a certain time online or one that will be used every time you want to access a specific add-on.  This tutorial is going to walk you through the process of adding PinSentry to your system.  We have several other articles breaking down exactly how to use PinSentry.  This is a very underrated add-on for any parent because you truly have all the control.


PinSentry: Current version of this addon is 2.0 – first detected 2018-02-02


This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help, go to ares-project.uk for further support.

PinSentry Installation on Kodi Jarvis (16)


  • Click SYSTEM > File Manager

  • Double Click Add Source

  • Click “None” text window

  • Type EXACTLY http://urepo.org/install

  • Click the box underneath “Enter a name for this media source“

  • Type urepo(or a name you will remember!)

  • Click OK

  • Back out or hit the “Home icon” to go back to your Home Screen

  • Click SYSTEM

  • Double click Add-Ons

  • Scroll to Install from zip file

  • Select urepo

  • Click repository.urepo.zip

  • Now wait for “Add-on enabled” message

  • Click Install from repository

  • Click  Urepo Repository

  • Click Video add-ons

  • Click PinSentry

  • Click Install

  • Now wait for “Add-on’ enabled” message

PinSentry Installation to Kodi Krypton (17)


If you have a clean 17 install, you will have to enable unknown sources first.



  • Click Settings (cog)

  • Choose System Settings

  • Select Add-ons

  • Toggle Unknown Sources

  • A warning pop-up will appear

“Add-ons will be given access to personal data stored on this device. By allowing, you agree that you are solely responsible for any loss of data, unwanted behaviour, or damage to your device. Proceed?”


This is your choice, if you wish to install 3rd Party add-ons you must agree. We strongly advise against installing headline grabbing “the best add-on ever…” etc and use only official developers with a proven track record.



  • Click SYSTEM > File Manager

  • Double Click Add Source

  • Click “None” text window

  • Type EXACTLY http://urepo.org/install

  • Click the box underneath “Enter a name for this media source“

  • Type urepo (or a name you will remember!)

  • Click OK

  • Back out or hit the “Home icon” to go back to your Home Screen

  • Click SYSTEM

  • Double click Add-Ons

  • Scroll to Install from zip file

  • Select urepo

  • Click repository.upreo.zip

  • Now wait for “Add-on enabled” message

  • Click Install from repository

  • Click Urepo Repository

  • Click Video add-ons

  • Click PinSentry

  • Click Install

  • Now wait for “Add-on’ enabled” message

What is Inputstream Adaptive The recent update release from Kodi on the Krypton 17.3 has failed to enable a feature called InputStream Adaptive. So what you say ! What does it do ? How do I use it ? Project Cypher

This is an add on thats been around for a while, with a mix of content, mostly that I haven’t used to be honest, but its recently started to produce some good live streams with I think makes it worthy of recommending. I worked through some of the content this morning and there is a mix of stuff, but of real interest to me personally is the quality of the live links. Making Adjustments While Watching Movies in Kodi: Aeon Nox Silvo Skin

Adjusting options to screening is quite easy to do inside the Aeon Nox Silvo Skin and some are unaware of all the items you can change.  Many of you have asked questions on where to make Screen Adjustments re: Calibration, as well as how to Add or Remove Subtitles (myself included).  So here we go, the above Photo and the next used for this FAQ were taken from the Ares US Build Jarvis Version.  The movies selected was “Jackie” from the Elysium Add-on with a Real Debrid Account.
