Adding Your Media Files in Kodi Krypton

What Media Files can I view ?

The majority of Kodi users are unaware of the flexibility of Kodi and only know it as a method to use 3rd part add-ons. As a result, the Media Files they own or have collected remain unused. Instead of explaining what Kodi or XBMC as it was originally named, is and how it works, please use this link. Media Files such as Movies/Videos, Photographs and Music can be viewed quite easily in Kodi. For this article, the focus will be on Movies/Videos.

Types of Supported Media Files.

Container formats: AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, FLV, MKV/MKA (Matroska), QuickTime, MP4, M4A, AAC, NUT, Ogg, OGM, RealMedia RAM/RM/RV/RA/RMVB, 3gp, VIVO, PVA, NUV, NSV, NSA, FLI, FLC, DVR-MS and WTV. Due to using a PC, Windows 10 to create the Screenshots for my Blogs, I have my Personal Media Files stored in a separate hard drive. Your screen will obviously not appear the same as shown here. You may be using a usb Flash Drive or a HDD connected to your device. Make sure that is connected and working before continuing. Once you have located the selected path, simply click the destination and then OK. In this case M: was selected.

For obvious reasons, I have removed any personal information from the Photo. Therefore to continue, simply select OK.

Adding your Media Files

M: has now been added as the new path for my Movie/Video Media Files. So far it’s been easier than you thought I’m sure. So to continue, select OK.

media files

Almost done ! In the next screen, you will be asked to Set Content, I have found this is best left as it is. There is no advantage or benefit to make any changes. Select OK.

media files

This last screen will now confirm the path chosen as M:, yours will reflect the path location name you have chosen. Congratulations, you have now added your Personal Movie/Video Media Files to Kodi. Click anywhere in the area that is highlighted to view the files for the new path as shown above.

Here is an example of what to expect when you open the file path. Depending on what format was used to add these to your collection, you will be able to see some of the details concerning the file chosen. In the example above, the Length, Audio Format and Video Resolution are indicated in the bottom right corner.

In Conclusion

Having a clearer understanding what Kodi has to offer will only improve your overall use. Being able to watch saved/stored videos without going online is something many of the new users to Kodi were unaware of. Have any Home Movies of Weddings, Children’s Birthdays or even your favorite Vacation Videos ? All of these can now be watched thru Kodi, the possibilities are endless.  For example, Karaoke ! Serial Killers Lite: Kodi Add-on

Serial Killers Lite is definitely a unique Kodi Add-on for several reasons.  First, obviously, it is one of the few add-ons that is exclusively focused on Serial Killers.  Secondly, it is one of the few add-ons that also requires Real Debrid for several sections.  The good part about that is you know you will have some great private streams.  This add-on is definitely a niche add-on but I believe there are many who share my fascination with Serial Killers; so I think this add-on will become immensely popular once people hear about it!  I think Mookdog did a very nice job with this add-on. Serial Killers Lite: Current version of this addon is 1.2.0  This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help. You can unblock many “dns censored” sources with a smartdns solution  If you use p2p add ons, torrents, or in countries that prohibit streaming use ...

Alluc does not host any content itself. Alluc.ee also does not contain any download links, all are links to streaming video sharing websites. Users provide the links in the right category and they are released to the site after having been checked by the administrators. Video hosting sites that are linked include YouTube, Dailymotion, and Veoh, among others....

Free Kodi on iOS No Jailbreak.

For Non-Jailbreak iOS Devices Installing Kodi on iOS  For all you iOS users it seems the world of free streaming is just that bit more complicated than for the rest of us. Putting Kodi on iOS has never been easy. Unless you are willing to risk an attempt to jailbreak what has probably been your most frivolous purchase this year,  which is only an option for certain version of the iOS operating system and could easily go very wrong unless you are  which is only really an option if you are a more  experienced user who is confident they know what they are doing. It only takes  one wrong move in an attempt to Jailbreak and that shiny new iPhoneX could easily become noting more than ornament. A failed attempt to Jailbreak an iOS in order to gain more control over the content you are are able to download and use on your device will most likely have left any and all warranties or guaranties you may have had with the device null and void as it stated in the terms...
