How to Disable/Enable Debug Logging in Krypton

Debug Logging in Kodi Krypton What is the debug log? A debug log can record database operations, system processes, and errors that occur when executing a transaction or running unit tests. Debug logs can contain information about: Database changes. HTTP callouts. Apex errors. “Sometimes you might be asked to enable additional debug logging “components”, which is an option in this same Settings/System/ Debugging area. If you were not asked to enable anything extra, then don’t worry about those additional settings. Restart Kodi : so that the log file records important startup information.” (excerpt from kodi wiki) Kodi-Wiki Log file . Disabling Debug Logging Occasionally a new user will start Kodi for the first time after purchasing a “loaded” Android Box and encounter some very odd looking numbers at the top of their screen ! “Is my Kodi Broken?”. No this is not a scene fro...

Deleting Old non-working URL's from File Manager

Deleting URL’s from File Manager We have all used the File Manager in Kodi to install different URL’s for various links to Repositories or Add-ons. Links become redundant for a number or reasons; however, the most common reason is abandonment by the developer. A perfect example is the TVA Fusion link, it became invalid and the link will no longer connect. Why remove the url links ? Keeping these URL links installed in File Manager is harmless, but keeping the file manager uncluttered is never a bad habit. Some of you may have typed the wrong url address by mistake. Instead of removing it right away, you just re-type the correct url address. I know how easy that is having done that myself on occasion. As a result, you have many duplicate sources in your File Manager section. The removal method is exactly the same for Jarvis & Krypton. Yet, I have combined photo examples for both just so you can follow along. While I was...

Timber Wolf: Movie Kodi Add-on

Timber Wolf is another movie add-on brought to use by the developer “Dee” and is found in the Juggernaut Repo. This add-on is mostly focused on Movies but does have a tv section and a kids section as well. This add-on is definitely heavily focused on the movies though yet if you click on Tv it will bring you to a ton of sub-categories to choose from. I am not sure if Dee plans on cleaning up the movies and bringing them under the umbrella of Movies like he did for Tv but time will tell. Either way there is a ton of content available to the viewers. Timber Wolf.: Current version of this addon is 1.4 This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XMBC foundations, please do not ask on their forums for help. You can unblock many “dns censored” sources with a smartdns solution If you use p2p add ons, torrents, or in countries that prohibit streaming use a vpn from a reputable provider like Private ...

NLView

This is predominantly a Dutch based add-on, however with Awesome streams leaving the scene, the add on has been forked and included within the NLView add on. I found a lot of alternative links here (if you don’t mind foreign commentary) and I suspect they wont get as much hammer at game time, so could be a reliable alternative? You will need to install the Doki repo to get this addon, so lets run through the whole process. ——————————————————— This add on is “unofficial” and therefore not supported by Kodi Tv or XBMC foundation, please do not ask on their forums for help, goto ares-forum.com for further support. ——————————————————— You can unblock many sources with a smartdns solution, but to use p2p addons, torrents, or in countries that prohi...
